MONEY AND PAYMENT QUESTIONS

How much do sessions cost?
Sessions are £65 if paying full price. The concession price for full-time students or those claiming Universal Credit, is £45. This covers the therapy itself alongside room rental, resources, insurance, supervision and admin.

Can I book a block of sessions?
I currently ask that sessions are paid for one at a time. This is so no one feels obligated to continue sessions when it isn't practical or ethical.

How do I pay?
Bank Transfer is generally easiest, or PayPal/Wise. I am also happy to accept cash.

LOGISTICAL QUESTIONS

Can my child have fortnightly sessions?
Yes, I do have fortnightly slots subject to availability. Please note that progress will be slower and consistency/commitment is very important if attending fortnightly. Fortnightly sessions may not always be ethically appropriate, depending on your child's circumstances.

Can my child have online sessions?
Yes, I can work online with children over 11 years old. They must be able to remain focussed and have a private space to attend the session.

When do sessions take place?
I currently offer sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays after school and into the early evening.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT QUESTIONS

Can I be in the session with my child?
Younger children often prefer a parent/carer with them for the first session, or sometimes for the first few weeks. This is fine! However, the aim is always for the child to be in the session on their own. This is for their confidentiality and best chance of progress.

Will I get feedback?
Yes, I will always share something brief at the end of every session, with your child's consent. More in-depth feedback is done via phonecall approximately once every 8-10 sessions. Feedback will be based on what I from your child in the room, and I'm not able to give direct parenting advice.

What if you have a concern?
If I have a safeguarding concern for your child or someone else, I'll share directly with parents as soon as possible (apart from in very rare cases when doing so may increase risk). I also ask for your child's school and GP contact details to ensure proper safeguarding.

Will you tell me what happens in the session?
No, I will not tell you directly what happens in your child's session. I may share a brief summary but you will not hear details. Your child, however, may choose to tell you everything! It's important your child has the choice about what they share.

What happens if my child is 16?
Once a child turns 16, I no longer need parental consent to work with them. They are in charge of how much contact I have with parents/carers, if any. However, I will need to hold an emergency contact in case of safeguarding concern.
